Metabolite Identification Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Metabolite Identification Specialist to join our client's team. As a key member of the research team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing metabolite identification strategies for drug discovery and development projects.


The successful candidate will have a strong background in mass spectrometry-based metabolite identification and will play a critical role in advancing drug discovery programs.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement mass spectrometry-based metabolite identification strategies to support drug discovery and development projects.
  • Analyse and interpret data from LC-MS/MS and related platforms to identify metabolites and their structures.
  • Collaborate closely with other scientists in the drug discovery and development teams to advance projects towards milestones.
  • Maintain detailed records of all experiments and results and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all data.
  • Keep up to date with the latest scientific and technological advances in the field of metabolite identification and contribute to the development of new techniques and methodologies.
  • Effectively communicate results and conclusions to project teams and management.


Qualifications:


  • PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or related field with a focus on mass spectrometry-based metabolite identification.
  • Expertise in mass spectrometry-based metabolite identification, including the use of LC-MS/MS and related platforms.
  • Expertise in bioanalytical method development supporting in vitro and in vivo DMPK assays.
  • Strong knowledge of drug discovery and development processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring junior scientists.
