Financial Controller - DACH

We are currently handling a Financial Controller position for a respected client based in Munich. This role involves significant responsibility in managing finances and guiding strategic decisions within an established pharmaceutical company. The Financial Controller will provide essential support to the Finance Manager and their team, reporting directly to the Head of Finance DACH and the Head of Finance EME. The role includes a variety of tasks such as analysing sales data, improving financial reporting mechanisms, aiding in budgetary planning, forecasting, and compliance with financial regulations. Additionally, the position involves collaboration with departments like Sales, Medical Advisory, and Marketing to maintain and improve the company's financial standing.


Responsibilities:


  • Reporting and analyzing sales figures, offering insights into business performance.
  • Developing and optimizing reporting and analysis tools.
  • Assisting with budget planning and forecasting.
  • Analyzing deviations and managing ad-hoc requests.
  • Supporting monthly and yearly closing activities.
  • Preparing and analyzing OPEX for specific clusters.
  • Contract controlling, including calculation and tracking of bonus contracts.
  • Ensuring financial compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.
  • Acting as a business partner across departments to support financial decisions.


Qualifications:


  • An apprenticeship, university degree, or equivalent in business administration, economics, accounting, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in controlling and finance within an international (sales) organization, preferably in the Pharmaceutical/MedTech industry.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel & Access.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, for international projects.
