Our client is a healthcare technology company that is building next-generation digital imaging systems for cancer diagnostics. Their work combines advanced optics, imaging, and machine learning to deliver new solutions in cytology and pathology.
They are now seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their newly formed Scanner Solutions team. As one of the first engineers in this group, you will work across the full software stack, from user interfaces to hardware integration, while helping to shape the technical direction of the product line.
The role
- Develop features and applications in C++, C#, Python, and SQL
- Take technical ownership of software design, implementation, and optimisation
- Act as a technical lead within the development team
- Design and implement algorithms for digital imaging and computer vision
- Contribute to architecture and system-level design across hardware and software
- Work with optical systems and image sensors, ensuring robust evaluation and integration
- Implement and optimise machine learning models, including deployment into production environments
The profile
- M.Sc. in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Extensive software development experience, including architecture design
- Strong knowledge of C++, C#, Python, and SQL
- Background in computer vision, digital imaging, and algorithm development
- Experience working with optical systems and image sensors
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary product development (electronics, mechanics, software)
- Knowledge of machine learning and its application to imaging systems
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
