Market Intelligence Analyst

We are working with our client to find an experienced Market Intelligence Analyst. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the Market Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for delivering data-driven insights to support high-level strategic decision-making within a leading biopharma organization. This role bridges market dynamics with internal business priorities by tracking industry trends, analyzing competitive landscapes, and producing actionable intelligence to guide business development, partnerships, and portfolio strategies.


As a critical member of the Business Development team, the Market Intelligence Analyst will collaborate across licensing, commercial, and product teams to influence direction, shape new opportunities, and enhance readiness in an evolving pharmaceutical landscape.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES


Market Research and Strategic Insight


  • Conduct in-depth market research on industry trends, therapeutic landscapes, and regional developments.
  • Analyze external data sources to support licensing, alliance, and commercialization decisions.
  • Deliver structured reports and dashboards tailored to strategic business needs.
  • Maintain constant awareness of market shifts and innovation trends.


Data Analysis and Visualization


  • Compile, clean, and interpret large data sets using BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Translate data into visual narratives to support cross-functional alignment and executive decision-making.
  • Ensure accuracy and clarity in all intelligence reporting.


Competitive Intelligence and Benchmarking


  • Monitor global and regional competitor activities, pipelines, and strategies.
  • Develop and maintain detailed competitor profiles and SWOT analyses.
  • Partner with commercial teams to integrate competitive insights into go-to-market planning.


Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting


  • Collaborate with Licensing, BD, and Portfolio teams to provide tailored market insights.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests and deliver timely, concise reports for business planning forums.
  • Create custom dashboards or market models for various internal stakeholders.


Forecasting and modeling


  • Support demand forecasting and opportunity modeling through historical data and trend analysis.
  • Contribute to scenario planning and early asset evaluations in line with commercial feasibility.
  • Track forecast accuracy and continuously refine models for optimal output.


Tool Management and Market Data Governance


  • Manage subscriptions and licenses for databases (e.g., IQVIA, Evaluate Pharma).
  • Build internal repositories of insights and automate regular intelligence updates.
  • Collaborate with IT to optimize tool performance and access.
