The role

As a Senior Scientific Software Developer, you will:

  • Design and implement workflows for virtual screening, molecular property prediction, and compound library design.
  • Collaborate with AI and medicinal chemistry teams to enhance drug discovery pipelines.
  • Maintain and develop scalable, reliable chemoinformatics infrastructure.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in chemoinformatics and implement best practices.

 

Essential skills and experience

  • PhD (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Cheminformatics, or Computational Chemistry.
  • At least 4 years of experience in chemoinformatics, including tools such as RDKit and OpenEye.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, with experience building scalable computational pipelines.
  • Strong skills in data analysis and cheminformatics visualisation.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across interdisciplinary teams.
