Associate Principal Scientist – DMPK

The Drug Discovery Division of our partner is currently looking for an Associate Principal Scientist to join their team and support their development program. The successful candidate will have a background in a relevant scientific discipline such as pharmacology or pharmaceutical sciences and experience working on DMPK drug discovery and/or development projects. Working knowledge of multiple DMPK/ADME assays as well as experience in applying DMPK science to small molecule drug discovery/development projects will also be required.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide technical direction and apply innovation to problem-solving in projects across the Drug Discovery organisation within own area of expertise.
  • Conduct human PK, dose predictions and using routine approaches and including PBPK as appropriate using available software.
  • Collate and interpret results from the PK and ADME teams within the organisation and further analyse/model/simulate in the context of the project aims. 
  • Ensure the smooth operation and scheduling of the DMPK screening strategy for the matrix drug discovery teams internal to PDDSE and external with clients.
  • Maintenance and presentation of IVIVE and SAR for ADME properties to a high standard.
  • Provide quality data, written reports and presentations internally and to our partners to ensure regular progress updates and client satisfaction.
  • Able to act as a point of contact and manage client interactions for specified parts of an integrated project.
  • The role requires meticulous attention to detail and for all work to be conducted strictly in accordance with company Policies and Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.

 

Requirements:


  • BSc or higher in relevant scientific discipline, pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences.
  • Experience working in DMPK drug discovery and/or development projects with an appreciation of related disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of multiple DMPK/ADME assays.
  • Experience in applying DMPK science to small molecule drug discovery/development projects.
