The Country Sales Manager is responsible to drive commercial growth and lead the sales team across the region. This role is critical in achieving the organization’s net sales and profitability targets by implementing high-impact sales strategies, nurturing key partnerships, and ensuring alignment with market dynamics and business objectives.
Reporting directly to the Sr. Director Commercial GCC, the Sales Lead will oversee a team of Sales Representatives, Key Account Executives, and Product Specialists. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership capabilities with deep market knowledge, particularly in the UAE pharmaceutical landscape, and will serve as a strategic partner to distribution networks and internal stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with the organization’s commercial goals and market dynamics.
- Forecast revenue and sales performance based on market trends, customer data, and competitive activity.
- Translate commercial strategy into actionable plans for direct reports, ensuring resource efficiency and strong market access.
- Set and monitor quarterly and annual sales targets, driving accountability and high performance across the team.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Coach, empower, and lead a diverse sales team to foster a high-performance and values-driven culture.
- Conduct regular one-on-one performance conversations to offer support, track progress, and reinforce expectations.
- Partner with HR to develop and implement talent retention strategies and professional development plans.
- Actively participate in recruitment, onboarding, and talent attraction through strong networks and employer branding.
Key Account & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key government and private sector stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with distribution partners to ensure seamless operations, order flow, and financial compliance.
- Ensure customer segmentation, targeting, and profiling to optimize market coverage and customer engagement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Work with marketing to co-create and implement effective promotional strategies.
- Lead regular sales meetings to align on goals, performance metrics, and cross-departmental initiatives.
- Maintain open, transparent communication across internal teams and leadership, modeling integrity and trust.
Compliance & Operational Excellence
- Ensure all team members adhere to UAE legal, ethical, and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Education
- University degree with a medical or scientific background required.
Experience
- Minimum 8+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience with a track record of success in key account management.
- At least 5 years’ experience within the UAE market is essential.
