Senior Scientist - Analytical Chemistry

The Analytical Chemistry Department of our partner is currently looking for a Senior Scientist to join their team and support their development program. The successful candidate will be highly experienced in Analytical Chemistry and have expert knowledge across a wide range of analytical techniques including HPLC and potentially GC, SFC, or other analytical methodologies utilised to characterize APIs. The role is to support chemistry projects, develop and validate analytical methods, provide expert advice in the characterization of Starting Materials, Intermediates, and APIs, and collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Process Chemistry Department.

Responsibilities:


  • Developing, troubleshooting and validating HPLC methods
  • Working within project teams working to tight deadlines
  • Planning their own work and prioritizing as necessary with the minimum level of supervision
  • Able to step in and learn new techniques to support projects
  • Ability to solve complex scientific problems
  • Able to work effectively in a GMP laboratory


Requirements:


  •  PhD in Analytical Chemistry or related scientific discipline or a BSc and several years’ relevant experience in an Analytical Chemistry laboratory.
  • Significant expertise in troubleshooting and developing HPLC methods.
  • In-depth, hands-on expertise and up-to-date knowledge of other analytical methodologies.
  • Understanding of other separation techniques such as SFC and/or GC.
  • Strong scientific record of accomplishment.
