Senior Accountant EU & NL

Our rapidly expanding client internationally recognised pharmaceutical company is on the lookout for an experienced, detail-oriented EU and NL Senior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, the EU and NL Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing account receivables and ensuring accurate and timely financial closings for the NL and EU operations. Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage and oversee account receivables for NL and EU operations, ensuring timely collections and accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closings for the NL and EU divisions.
  • Perform intercompany sales reconciliation and ensure all deliveries to European entities are accurately invoiced.
  • Maintain and validate correct transfer prices in sales invoices and credit notes when required.
  • Serve as the primary contact point with 3PL partners for NL receivables.
  • Execute month-end revaluation of foreign currency and loan interest calculations.
  • Maintain robust internal controls and assist in yearly activities and legal audit support.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required to support the finance team and overall business operations.


Qualifications:


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Dutch.
  • Ability to effectively plan, control, and manage workload in a well-organized manner.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and proactively.
  • Team player with a high degree of flexibility to complete critical tasks.


Functional/Technical Skills and Industry Experience:


  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Expertise in SAP.
  • Ability to comprehend business priorities and challenges.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multicultural environment.


Educational Background:


  • Interprofessional qualification or graduate degree.
  • HBO or equivalent level of education.
