VP of Engineering

Utrecht, Netherlands

We are seeking an experienced VP of Engineering to support our client in their mission of transforming healthcare through advanced medical technology. If you have a passion for leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering innovative, regulatory-compliant products to market, this could be your next challenge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse team of mechanical, software, and electrical engineers, driving collaboration and excellence.
  • Develop and execute a technical roadmap aligned with the company’s vision and market needs.
  • Define KPIs, manage budgets, and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Oversee product development to meet FDA and MDR requirements and lead the preparation of technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align product features with market needs.
  • Partner with suppliers to scale production effectively and establish a reliable supply chain.
  • Inspire and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams (30+ reports).
  • A strong track record in bringing high-tech products from concept to market, ideally in medical robotics or regulated industries.
  • Expertise in regulated environments, with FDA experience highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management, from prototyping to industrialization.
  • Outstanding communication skills to bridge technical concepts with business objectives.
  • Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
