Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical company specializing in dermatological medications and medical devices, is seeking a highly motivated UK Country Manager. The company is known for developing and marketing innovative products designed to heal, protect, and care for the skin, including a key product for the treatment of non-melanoma skin cancer using photodynamic therapy (PDT).
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for meeting sales and profitability targets in the UK.
- Manage a team of four to deliver sales and educational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with MHRA regulations and oversee the functions of QM contractors.
- Collaborate with the Global Marketing Manager to develop and implement UK-specific brand plans.
- Liaise with suppliers, agencies, and regulatory contractors to deliver sales materials and educational programs.
- Perform general administrative duties to ensure the efficient running of UK operations.
Requirements:
- Degree in business administration, natural sciences, or a related field.
- ABPI certification for industry personnel.
- Minimum of seven years’ experience in commercial roles within the UK pharmaceutical/medical device industry, managing ethical prescription products.
- Knowledge of dermatology is an advantage.
- At least five years of people management experience with direct line responsibility, preferably in a Sales Management position.
- Strong understanding of the UK pharmaceutical market and its relationship with the NHS and private sector.
- Ability to navigate the mechanisms needed to bring drugs to market and ensure uptake in primary and secondary care settings.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to work across various functions to achieve objectives in a small but dynamic environment.
