Head of Quality

Aspire Life Sciences supported a MedTech company in the Frankfurt region with its search for a Head of Quality as it restructured its global quality organisation. The brief called for a leader who could establish a company-wide Quality Assurance function and, over time, bring Quality Assurance and Quality Management together under one team.

The role involved moving QA beyond its existing focus on Operations to work closely with R&D, Service and field teams. Its priorities included improving quality controls, strengthening root cause analysis and CAPA, and ensuring that issues identified in the field informed changes to products and processes. The Head of Quality would also oversee the quality management system and lead a team of approximately 16–20 people through the transition.

The search required MedTech experience across both Quality Assurance and Quality Management, along with a track record of leading teams through organisational change. The company sought someone who could work with technical and operational leaders to build lasting improvements across the product lifecycle.
