Director, Computational Biology

We recruited for a senior Computational Biology Lead to guide the evaluation and real-world application of foundation models in drug development and translational research. The role provided scientific direction at the intersection of biology, data science, and machine learning, helping identify high-impact problems and translate biopharma research questions into computational and product opportunities.

Reporting to the Head of Computational Biology, this was a senior individual contributor role within the R&D team with future management potential as the company grew. The role involved collaborating across research, product, and business teams, mentoring junior scientists, engaging with external partners and clients, and representing the company at conferences and technical discussions.

The position required strong experience in biopharma R&D, computational biology, and machine learning applied to multi-omics data, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work in cross-functional environments. Additional strengths included experience in translational research, single-cell or spatial biology, project leadership, and stakeholder management.
