Looking for your next role in life sciences?
Aspire Life Sciences supported an emerging AI-native drug discovery company in its search for a Machine Learning Engineer based onsite in central London. The company was scaling the predictive infrastructure behind a molecular design platform used by chemistry teams working across oncology, inflammation, dementia and other therapeutic areas.
The role focused on building production machine learning systems that could help scientists design, evaluate and progress molecules. Responsibilities included developing molecular property prediction models, improving training pipelines and experiment tracking, deploying models to cloud infrastructure, and curating chemical datasets. The engineer would also work closely with chemists, biologists and software engineers to turn scientific needs into practical tools.
The search called for a combination of machine learning and software engineering experience, including a track record of deploying models in production. Experience with chemical or molecular data was central to the brief, alongside knowledge of model validation, MLOps and scalable infrastructure.
