We recruited for an AI Engineer to join an early-stage, venture-backed biotech startup developing intelligent workflow and orchestration products that integrate AI into business operations. The role focused on building production AI solutions that automated processes, combined insights from multiple data sources, and embedded intelligent assistants into business tools.

The position involved developing agentic LLM and RAG-based systems, building data pipelines and model deployment workflows, and translating product requirements into scalable, production-ready AI features. The role also included engineering signals from structured and unstructured data to support search, summarisation, process mining, and decision-support applications, working closely with engineering and product teams.

The role required strong experience in Python, SQL, deep learning for NLP and large language model workflows, and experience deploying and monitoring AI/ML models in production environments. Strong data science fundamentals, product-focused problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills were also important.
